Nelson is an old town located in the Selkirk Mountains on the edge of the Kootenay Lake. It is also known as the Queen City due to the assortment of carefully preserved heritage buildings that were set up following the silver rush in 1886. With two bedrooms and one bathroom, this house is perfect for five guests. It is close enough to the city centre (4 miles or 6.4 kilometres) that allows you to participate in all town activities. You can visit the summer markets, check out the Lakeside pathway, or watch a play at Capitol Theatre. The house itself has a gas-powered fireplace that keeps you warm during the winters and cold night. It is well-lit with accent lights throughout the space which look good when paired especially with the exposed brick wall in the bedroom. It has keyless entry as you will be provided with a code that is reset after each guest leaves for safety purposes. Please note that quiet hours are after 9:30pm.

Ideal for four guests, this vacation rental is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom house only a short walk to Nelson. It is close enough to the town that you have easy access but is located in a residential area which grants you some peace and quiet. On the walls, you’ll find artwork that is representative of the local artists’ talent and artistic photos of local small businesses. The furniture is comfortable, with bright geometric prints and carefully selected complementary colours. Outside, you’ll find a hot tub with a lovely view of the Kootenay Lake and Elephant Mountain, as well as an outdoor dining and lounge area. At 1,000 sq. ft (93 sq. m), this vacation rental can accommodate five people in its two bedrooms and two bathrooms. While the building itself is old, it is one of the first buildings on the street to have added a new floor since 1960. It is located right on Baker Street which is great because you can watch the foot traffic and activities that take place on the street from the full-length windows in the living room.
