Mardi Gras or “Fat Tuesday” typically begins on the Christian Holiday of the “Feast of the Epiphany” and ends on Ash Wednesday. The reason for the name is that you’re supposed to eat rich and fatty foods before the fasting of Lent. A lot of countries celebrate a version of Mardi Gras but the one in New Orleans is the one most people are probably familiar with. The first Mardi Gras held in New Orleans was in 1837 and since then, it has become synonymous with the city. If you’re planning on attending Mardi Gras this year, check out these great Vrbo accommodations.

We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) Superhost status, recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and amenities. The image galleries get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on May 25, 2025.

20. Stunning condo located two blocks from French Quarter

Once the home of a local New Orleans newspaper, the building where this condo unit is tucked withstood the test of time and now offers stunning condominium dwellings. This second-level unit, for instance, boasts a 1200 sq.ft. (111.5 sq.m.) of space highlighting a comfy living room with a large sofa and flat-screen cable TV and two bedrooms with relaxing king-size beds.. There’s also a fully equipped kitchen for all your cooking adventures in the metro. The dwelling is easily accessible by an elevator and readily comes with free WiFi.

Located only two blocks from French Quarter and eight blocks from the convention center, the unit is close to all of the area’s best sights such as National World War II Museum, Caesars Superdome, and Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, not to mention the parade routes for Mardi Gras.

Host:
Very nice rental in a great location Especially for Mardi Gras
Jackson Square and Harrahs Casino
The only downsides are the VERY squeaky box springs
The rental company is very professional and kept in touch by phone email and text and answered every question promptly Washer and Dryer in the unit is a nice touch
spacious modern and absolutely perfect location
Location:
but I suppose that is anywhere located downtown
Great location in the CBD Easy walk to the French Quarter Aquarium Superdome and streetcar stops
The location is close enough to walk to the French Quarter and check in/out
We enjoyed this light filled apartment located walking distance to many NOLA hot spots but out of the fray
Absolutely LOVED this apartment Walkable distance to Bourbon street and close to great food bars and nightlife
Cleanliness:
This place was very clean and decorated
It was clean and spacious
Seems newly renovated and kept very clean
Condo is clean and well decorated - with super comfortable beds
The condo was very spacious and in exceptional condition
Amenities & Room:
The beds were comfortable and an air mattress was in the closet
it woke up the other one
(I thought the other reviews must be exaggerating
A rain type shower head that shoots water down instead of out would fix the problem I believe
so a 3 is the average with the beds being a one
