4. Cabin by the beach, great for groups!
This cabin is in Shelton, a 23-minute drive from Union, WA. Sitting right on the beach with sunlight shining in through the large windows on the sides of the cabin, creating a warm atmosphere for you. You will be awakened by the sunrise every morning and delighted by the view of the sea and the beach every minute of your day. You will be living with the wildlife like killer whales, jelly fish, bald eagle, gulls, herons, ducks and more. Don’t be too frightened when you catch seals spying on you from the water or listening to the barking sounds of sea lions at night.
There are plenty of laid back activities for you to do in the cabin like watching movies, playing games, cards, and puzzles and reading a book. Collecting seashells, spotting little sea creatures like star fish, crabs and clams on the beach are also great ways spend time leisurely. 5. Charming houseboat at Jarrell's Cove Marina!
Experience living on top of the water in this adorable, lovely little houseboat. It has all that you need, like a bedroom with a double bed and upper single bunk, a living room with a sofa bed and electric cooking appliances. Cooking is made easy with charcoal and lighter fluid on the shore and woods from the marina.
Sitting on the deck admiring orcas and other wildlife is simply a pleasing moment. Needless to say, you will be waking up to bird chirping sounds and water sounds. Walking up through the neighborhood streets in the northwest forests will be a delightful one with neighbors who are helpful and friendly but also respect privacy.
The staff at the marina are helpful in recommending places to visit. You can bring along your own kayak and wind your way through Jarrell’s Cove along the coastline of the island. The state park is just nearby if you want to have a relaxing hike. You would also want to visit the farmers market which is open on Saturdays.
6. Little Creek Casino resort
Just as the name states, this resort is minutes from Little Creek Casino. If you are a gambler, this place suits you well. This casino hotel is a short distance to Walter Dacon Winery, Kneeland Park and Mason County Historical Society Museum. Apart from the casino, take delight in the facilities like the golf course, the indoor pool, and spa treatments.
