Joplin is a city that lies along the historic Route 66 and it is about two and a half hours’ drive from Kansas City. It was formerly a mining town but is today a thriving area with diverse industries and attractions. Visit the scenic Grand Falls and wander the forests of George Washington Carver National Monument. At Wildcat Glades Conservation & Audubon Center, you’ll encounter a chert glade habitat, which only exists in Missouri!
