Cancun is one of the most popular destinations for travelers going to Mexico for leisure. Its white sand beaches are highlighted by clear blue waters on one side, and large resort buildings on the other. The city’s position on the tip of the Yucatan peninsula puts it right in between the the Gulf of Mexico, and of the Caribbean Sea. The city’s internal districts are usually divided into 2 sections, El Centro, the historical downtown, and Zona Hotelera, the area dominated by large hotels common for tourists. The Le Blanc is located about a 5 minute drive north up Boulevard Kukulcan from the Live Aqua Beach Resort. Like many other resorts in the resort district, Le Blanc’s décor is modern, but this resort takes a more romantic and comfortable approach to modernity than others. Also like other resorts, this one is adults only. The hotel has on site yoga and pilates classes, a fitness center, sauna, and 3 outdoor pools. There are 6 room types available here, with the largest accommodating 4 guests. Previous guests have said this resort provided some of the best service they have ever experienced.

This lovely condo may be a private Airbnb stop, but it’s located in the same hotel district as the resorts I’ve mentioned earlier. This 1 bedroom 1 bathroom condo can accommodate up to 2 guests. The Las Brisas Condos are located near the southern end of the Hotel Zone, but north of Nizuc Resort. The condo has a king size bed, flat-screen TV, and high speed Wi-Fi. Guests are free to make use of the fully equipped kitchenette, and the outdoor eating area that overlooks Nichupte Lagoon.

7. Casa Tiacuache (from 26 USD)

Casa Tiacuache is located on the mainland, in the middle of Cancun’s downtown area near the María Bonita neighborhood. This is a great location to be staying in; the property is just a short walk from Cancun Planetario, Cultural Center, and Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo. This private room can accommodate up to 2 guests and provides a private bathroom. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen, which has a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, stove, and always-available bottled water. The washing machine is also available for use for 6 USD per load.

Free parking is available for those that bring, or rent, a car. The property is very close to the park for nice morning strolls. The ocean is about a 15-minute drive from the beach, and there is a bus that takes patrons to the Hotel Zone. There is a 2 night minimum stay to book this property.

Just behind a black iron gate, on a concrete residential street is the intimate Cancun Oasis. The Cancun Oasis is west of Casa Tiacuache, and north of the Traveler’s Room, and Cancun Eco-Apartment. This private room is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom that can accommodate up to 2 individuals. The kitchen has a stove, oven, coffee machine, toaster, blender, and juicer, all of which guests are welcome to make use of. The minimum night stay varies depending on what time you plan to stay here, so inputting your approximate reservation dates on Airbnb is a good idea.
