Northeast Edmonton is a partly residential and partly industrial area. While there are ample open areas for those looking to stay in this neighbourhood, there aren’t a lot of options for shopping and marketplaces. Although, those of you fond of hiking and biking, head on out to Rundle Park or Hermitage Park here. 3. West Edmonton

Not much needs to be said here. Downtown is where you’ll find all the fast-paced action in Edmonton. There are ditzy nightclubs, flashy casinos, bustling eateries, and lots of top businesses that attract professionals just as much as leisure vacationers. Plus, ICE District, a sports and entertainment complex, Art Gallery of Alberta, and Sir Winston Churchill Squareare all around this area. Don’t forget to keep your cameras handy while exploring around here. Else, head down to Alberta Legislature Grounds to enjoy a picnic or to hit the wading pool. Here, you will find lots of condos, townhouses, apartments, and waterfront homes set against a backdrop of bucolic landscapes. The large homes here come with sprawling open areas, giving it a spacious atmosphere. This area also enjoys good connectivity to Anthony Henday Drive, Yellowhead Trail, and Ray Gibbon Drive, so travellers staying in Northwest Edmonton will not miss out on anything.
