Cala d’Or is a popular resort area, on the southeast coast of Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands of Spain. The region is famous for its yacht marina, in Cala Llonga. There are several other calas, or coves, in the area, including Cala Esmeralda, Cala Ferrera, Cala Gran and Cala Serena. The area is beautifully scenic, with pine-fringed coves and charming sandy beaches, overlooking the clear and warm turquoise sea, as well as pretty white adobe-style buildings. To the north of Cala D’Or, the medieval Santueri Castle stands watch over S’Horta village, with views along the coast.
