San Marcos is a town for celebrations. It doesn’t matter if you’re here for a fun-filled family vacation, a romantic escapade or even a fully fledged business weekend; there’s always something to entice you. The township is made up of a multicultural society, with a mix of German, Hispanic, Anglo and African-American descendants on its land.

While you’re there, check out the underwater archaeological point at Spring Lake. Prefer to go on a hike with the kids? There are children’s parks, a skate park and even bike trails to keep you and your family entertained. If you’re into classic cars, you simply have to see Dick’s Classic Garage Car Museum. Go on a boat tour in the late evenings and end it all with a pit stop at Middleton Brewing. There’s a total of 13 different beers to sample from.

Before you check out, be sure to drop by Wimberley Glassworks, which is world-renowned for its hand-blown glass art pieces and intriguing lighting designs. Get a souvenir to take home, although you’ve got to be pretty careful with it all the way to your doorstep.
