Mouling National Park got its name from a nearby mountain peak called Mouling, meaning “red blood”. The park is perched in the district of Upper Siang in Arunachal Pradesh. Located approximately 13 km (8.07 mi) from Pasighat, Daying Ering Wildlife Sanctuary spans across a group of beautiful river islands. The only way to reach this wildlife sanctuary in Arunachal Pradesh is to take a cruise on the Siang River. Regarded as one of the state’s finest sanctuaries, the place got its name from Dr. D Ering, a local politician. The sanctuary is well known for different species of migratory birds that fly all the way from Siberia and Mongolia. Part of this place is covered with water, thus making it an ideal abode for migratory birds such as storks, waterfowls, and wild ducks. However, the forested island is also home to deer, hogs, hares, wild buffalos, and elephants, among others. The most suitable time to visit is between the months of December and February.
