Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu’s guest rooms feature unique balconies with splendid views of the Minato Mirai bayside area. From here you can see the impressive Ferris wheel, the colorful theme park or the nighttime lights of the bay. The hotel also boasts a restaurant that’s quite popular among the locals. Located in Queen’s Square Yokohama complex, which links directly to Minato Mirai Station, the hotel is ideal for its easy access to shopping and restaurant areas, but that’s not the only reason to stay. It’s also great for spending a romantic time taking in the excellent views!

The best-located hotel in the area
The hotel is directly connected to Minato Mirai Station (on the Tokyu Toyoko Minato Mirai Line). It’s part of Queen’s Square Yokohama, and an 8 minute walk from Sakuragicho Station (on the JR and subway lines) via a linked walking platform.
Queen’s Square is a very popular place in Minato Mirai, especially during weekends. However, the entrance to the hotel is relatively quiet and quite stylish. Everything here has an air of luxury. The hotel is within walking distance from Yokohama’s Landmark Tower, Mark Is, Minato Mirai shopping center, Yokohama Art Gallery, Pacifico Yokohama theme park, and much more. Its location is great for tourists visiting the city. The fact that it’s directly connected to the station makes this hotel one of the most convenient of any in the area.
Guest room with resort hotel style balconies
Although it’s a city hotel, there are deck chairs on the balconies of the guest rooms. Among all hotels in Minato Mirai, only the Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu features balconies of this quality. The view of the sea during the summer is fantastic! The rooms are spacious and equipped with high-quality amenities, including free Wi-Fi. This hotel is more than just somewhere to sleep, it’s a place worth visiting itself.
The view from the rooms
The hotel’s peculiar shape means the view from the balcony differs depending on the room. From the guest rooms with a park view, you can see the Yokohama Cosmo World theme park and the Nihonmaru Memorial Park. From the guest rooms with a bay bridge view, you can enjoy an expansive view of the bay area.
From the suite rooms, you can see both sides and watch the gorgeous illuminations of the big Ferris wheel as you’re soaking in a hot tub. For those who stay in rooms with a view of the park, you can see the Ferris Wheel in its full glory from the 8th to the 10th floor of the hotel. It’s right in front of your eyes!
Well-reviewed hotel restaurant
“Café Tosca” offers Western dishes in a buffet style. Many guests of the hotel have their breakfast here, but the restaurant is also popular during lunch and dinner for locals as well.
The hotel goes the extra mile with delicious Maison Kaiser-brand bread rolls and freshly squeezed orange juice; a great way to start the day. The chef also cooks a popular omelet on the spot using ingredients of your choosing. There are also a variety of other dishes, like the French “Queen Alice”, the Chinese “Turandot Yusenkyo” and the Japanese “Oshima”.
Surprisingly, guests of the hotels can have some dishes served right to their room. For now this is only limited to the Chinese “Turandot Yusenkyo” dish. Still, it’s nice to relax and have a meal from your room while enjoying the view from your window.
The night view of the bay, as seen from above
The highlight of the bay area’s night view is the glittering reflection of the various lights on the water’s surface. Surely there are other spots to enjoy this night view from too, but doing so while sitting on the balcony of your room and looking down on the bay is especially nice! It feels like quite a luxurious experience.
Personally, I found this hotel quite romantic so I put “perfect for couples” in the title, but it’s also suitable for families and friends. Go out on the balcony and listen to the ship’s steam whistles or the sound of the seagulls. This alone will make your troubles melt away. It’s a great spot to enjoy the free-spirited atmosphere of Yokohama port and spend some precious time with a special person.
