The tram carrying angels and Santa Claus first rolled through Zurich during the Advent season 65 years ago. The tram, once white before becoming red, brought Christmas cheer to people of all ages. The 20-minute journey starts in Bellevue and continues through Limmatkuai to Bahnhofstrasse and back. Santa Claus is a tram driver, and two angels tell little passengers (4 to 10 years old) Christmas stories and sing Christmas carols with them. Check the schedule beforehand because the tram isn't open every day.
