9 Most Delightful Christmas Markets In Innsbruck, Austria
Innsbruck is the capital of the Tyrol state in Austria and is beautifully set among the mountains of the Alps. The city is famous for its mixture of modern and Imperial architecture, including the Golden Roof, an emperor’s museum and the 16th-century Ambras Castle, with its art and armor museum. The Gothic Court Church is another fascinating visit, with its fancy imperial tombs. However, Innsbruck is more popular as one of the top destinations in Europe for winter sports. The city features the Bergisel Ski Jump, a sports facility, and the Nordkette funicular designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid. While in summer, Innsbruck is the place to be for hiking in the beautiful mountains, winter is spectacular here at the various ski resorts. The city comes to life during the festive season, when visitors can enjoy the most delightful Christmas markets in Innsbruck, Austria.

Salzburg's Sensational Horse And Carriage Ride In The Old Town
Having travelled to a number of European cities, my favourite old town would have to be that of Salzburg, Austria. It is one of the most enchanting and magical old towns that you will find; each square has something interesting to offer and there is a truly wonderful, joyful and calm atmosphere across it (even during the busiest of times of the day). You can travel through Salzburg's Old Town by foot, bicycle or horse and carriage and I have to recommend that you travel by the latter option. In this article, I am only going to give you an introduction to some of my favourite squares and how they connect; I’d rather not reveal everything so that you can truly enjoy and be surprised during the horse and carriage ride, if you opt to experience it.
Guide To
The Beautiful Burggarten In The Inner Stadt Of Vienna
It is not often that you find a capital city in Europe that has a magnitude of wonderful gardens and parks that are freely accessible to the public. Vienna, however, is different as it has so many lush gardens dotted all over the place including the Rathauspark, City Park, Alpine gardens, Kurpark Oberlaa, Pötzleinsdorfer Schlosspark, and etc. Of all the beautiful parks in this city, my favourite has to be the Burggarten and I would definitely recommend that you put it on your list to visit. It is located at Josefsplatz 1, 1010, Vienna and is easily accessible as it is by the Museumsquartier Metro Station. It is such a peaceful oasis that it is hard to believe that it is located in such a central spot in the city as it is positioned directly by the Ringstrasse behind the Hofburg Palace and the Albertina Museum and in close proximity to the Opera House. The Burggarten was laid out in 1818 as a private garden for Emperor Franz I and the Habsburg family and was designed by Ludwig Gabriel von Remy and Franz Antoine and was made public in 1919. Before 1919, the Viennese could only peek into the garden through the monumental gold gate and the beautiful styled fence.

Gerstner, The Imperial Confectioner: Shop, Bar, Café In Vienna
I introduce you to Gerstner, possibly one of the most beautiful and interesting places that I have sat and enjoyed in my life. It is located in the busy Kartnerstrasse, which is a short stroll from Stephansplatz and is directly opposite the Viennese Opera House, and is the place to be. It was opened in 1847 by Anton and Barbara Gerstner who are acclaimed in Austria for delivering the most delectable items to royalty and everyone else that could afford to experience their hand-made masterpieces over the years. In 1873 Gerstner was even appointed as the Imperial Court confectioner and is a Viennese royal chocolatier. The exterior of this establishment is a light green and shimmering gold colour and is hard to miss; it has a gorgeous display of items in the window, which is hard to resist. Once you enter through the large grand doors, you will be taken aback with how stunning this place is and will immediately see the gorgeous confectionary shop with the winding staircase which leads to more floors of heaven.

The Original Sacher-Torte And The Blissful Café Sacher In Vienna
Who dare say that the Original Sacher-Torte is simply a piece of cake? It is so much more. It is a rich and decadent edible masterpiece provided by a Viennese institution that does not rest on its laurels: Café Sacher. The Original Sacher-Torte and Vienna are synonymous and this unique and outstanding torte is actually served in a number of hotels, restaurants and cafes. However, any place that is not Café Sacher does not provide the Original Sacher-Torte which has been made from a closely guarded recipe for centuries. Any replica that you have of the Sacher-Torte will be no competition to the Original Sacher-Torte and you are strongly advised not to invest your time or taste buds in sampling this torte elsewhere. I tell you this from my experience of indulging in the replicas across Austria, none of which can really compare with the Original Sacher-Torte. The only thing that such an experiment gained was additional weight on the waistline. Save yourself from all of this and simply head over to Café Sacher in Vienna at Philharmoniker Str. 4, 1010, which is situated on the ground floor of the luxurious Hotel Sacher which is located in the heart of Vienna, across from the Vienna Opera House.
