So dainty!! Seasonal fruits picking in Yamanashi prefecture!

The highest mountain in Japan, the biggest number of sunny days in Japan, the largest supplier of mineral water in Japan… There are many top places held by Yamanashi prefecture! One of the most popular however is “Japan’s largest fruit kingdom”! Many seasonal fruits will start appearing soon. For those who would like to enjoy cherries, peaches and grapes, I will introduce the experience of fruits picking in Yamanashi prefecture.

Mt. Fuji Best View Point Guide -it changes by the time of a day!

Mt Fuji was registered as a World Cultural Heritage Site in June 2013. Topographically, it is a single stratovolcano peak (a single conical mountain) in a big rift valley, so you can see its pretty conical body until the mountain foot from everywhere. Especially in winter when the air is dry and there are no clouds you can see the entire mountain from many different places. I will now introduce several such observatories close to parking lots where you can see Mt Fuji and take a photo of it using even some large equipment.

I went on a trip to Yamanashi region, located just 1.5 hours away from JR ground train Shinjuku station, to experience a suburb Japan that is completely different from the experience of metropolitan city, Tokyo. Yamanashi is known for Mount Fuji, first of all, then hot springs, high-quality fruits production, and I believe that this is the least known, but it’s great wine! I looked for a trip that I can easily go for during the weekends and decided to go to Yamanashi because I can enjoy most of my favorite stuff when travelling in Japan over there - Mount Fuji, hot springs, and wine. This is my 2 days 1 night itinerary and hope this will help foreign travelers like me to not miss the best part of traveling in Yamanashi!
