Cluj-Napoca is a gem located in the Transylvania region. It is one of the oldest cities of Romania and it is also one of its main economic and cultural centers. The botanical garden is the biggest park in Romania and one of the most famous in the South-eastern Europe. As this zone was a part of the Kingdom of Hungary within the Austro-Hungarian empire in the past, it was undoubtedly influenced. You will understand it once you try the traditional food. Thus, in addition to the typical Romanian dishes as mamaliga, ciorba or sarmale, you can also find here such Hungarian food specialties as Cabbage a la Cluj or goulash.
