Gary Yang started his career as a suit cum copywriter at an advertising agency more than a decade ago, and subsequently honed his Public Relations skills at Asia Pacific Breweries and Singapore Press Holdings. He then went through a regional marketing stint at Creative Technology, before joining the digital content team at Sport Singapore as a Sports Editor, where he turned his attention to sporting headlines and telling authentic stories. He was also part of the speakers’ panel for sports writing at the All In! Young Writers Festival 2018 that included gurus Jason Dasey and Gerard Wong.
