Moored on the marina close to the bars and restaurants, you can’t get a better location than this. With handcrafted furniture built with comfort and style in mind for the congressional cup race circuit, you can surf the web, watch tv or play games. It is worth noting that there are some bathroom restrictions but 24 hour toilets are located nearby as are sufficient showering facilities just 3 minutes walk away. The 2 bedrooms both host queen sized beds meaning that this location is perfect for a family outing or perhaps even two couples on holiday! The wood furnishings throughout the house gives a feel that you are already within one of the ancient Redwood forest areas, whilst the decking space with sun-loungers means that you can enjoy a cocktail and relaxation outside in the Californian sun. 19. Private loft apartment with a deck
This creative loft apartment is in a central location, perfect to enjoy Eureka and the surrounding areas. The decking area offers a private entrance point so you have extra privacy. The loft apartment is cosy but has everything that you could need including a kitchen and lounge area which are both more than adequate. Our highlight for this location has to be the bathroom with its joint shower and clawfoot bath combination, you’ll momentarily step back into the Victorian period as you shower. Who knew time travel was possible in a bathroom!
20. Art Deco Bungalow
This bungalow has a homey, cottage feel that makes you want to settle right in with a cup of tea (or glass of wine!). The furniture is handcrafted and original artworks can be seen throughout the property, our favourite is the dining room mural that depict areas of Eureka itself. For all of you budding musicians be sure to check out the wooden piano in the living room, perhaps you could entertain your friends for the evening! There are two bedrooms each fitted with a queen bed, and an additional sofa bed in the communal lounge if you need to fit an extra person in. Worth noting that there is a two night minimum stay.
21. Quaint retreat with a garden
Built in the 1940s, this quaint cottage is a fantastic stop over on your Route 101 trip. There is a 2 night minimum stay, but in this comfortable house we don’t think that you’ll have any problems with that. If you have children the house even comes with a garden that has a white fence around so they should be safe playing outside.

22. Charming Victorian rental with views of the bay area
This artsy three-bedroom 1902 Victorian house is in a fantastic location on the edge of the picturesque Humboldt Bay area. The house offers neutral decoration with splashes of turquoise and blue colouring which really brings in some of the beautiful views from the bay area. Entrance through the back door offers privacy, whilst the house amenities such as lounge area, kitchen and bathroom are shared but the host Kath, offers massages so after a long day in the Redwoods we are sure that you’ll be looking for some relaxation.

We love this cute Eureka, CA vacation rental because not only is it neutrally decorated, being suited to most travellers, but they also offer free breakfast and personalised itineraries. Perfect for those of you traveling along the Route 101, hungry from your trip. It is in walking distance to amenities, and the one bedroomed offered in the house hosts a double bed, although sofa beds are also available.

24. Vibrant room with a private deck
This vibrant room is a perfect getaway from the rough driving of the Route 101. We like to think of this property as a little haven in Eureka. The wooden decking area outside with twinkling windchimes and the scent of flowers is perfect for your morning cup of tea; sit down, relax and think about the day ahead. The wooden features continue inside with grand curved drawers in the bedroom, to the wooden table in the dining area. The bedroom offers a queen bed and so is perfect for two people, although a sofa bed is available in the communal lounge area.
