5. Old Smock Windmill in Benenden (from USD 274)

Originally constructed at the beginning of the 19th century, this old windmill in the Kent countryside is now a romantic home away from home, a great Airbnb vacation rental. This location embodies all things rustic with its beautiful wooden finishings, flowers from the garden a-plenty, and a welcome basket full of organic eggs fresh from the owner’s farm. 16. Historic Augill Castle in Cumbria

Formally dubbed Augill Castle, this Victorian beauty was built in 1841 by a Victorian gentleman as his country home. In the midst of a sibling feud, said Victorian gentleman was intent on building a home that surpassed the grandeur of his brother’s. Needless to say, he was not unsuccessful. The castle rests in Cumbria, Northern England in the Eden Valley just bordering the magical Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Entrenched in quintessential English beauty, Augill Castle is surrounded by some of the most breathtaking, peaceful walks in the country.

Nearby villages, riverbanks, waterfalls, caves, and castles pepper the area, making it the kind of idyllic setting that calls out to the hearts of poets, wanderers, and travelers alike. The structure itself is tightly fastened to the natural beauty of the surrounding area with its turrets, towers, and mullioned windows. Stained glass, antique furniture, and large fireplaces adorn the castle and give it a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You can bet a stay here will be anything but stuffy. Guests can choose between fifteen expertly decorated rooms, some with four-poster beds and claw-footed bathtubs as their choice of vacation rental. Augill Castle is popular for weddings or relaxing country getaways, providing its guests with inescapable warmth and charm.

18. The Jack Sparrow House in Falmouth

Listed as one of England’s best British Airbnbs by The Telegraph, the Jack Sparrow House is like something out of a fairy tale. An incredibly cozy one-room cabin, the bed is located up on a mezzanine with an enchanting view of the sea. The Jack Sparrow House sitting room is whimsical in design but still includes a seating area with a two-burner stove, grill, icebox, sink, and toilet. Set on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, this Airbnb rental overlooks Falmouth and Porthallow bay. This must be the place.

19. The Tree Sparrow House in Cornwall

The magical sister home to the Jack Sparrow House is this incredibly charming Tree Sparrow House. Built into an Ash tree on the Lizard Peninsula, this stay has incredible views of Falmouth Bay and Tregaminion Orchards. Close by are quiet fishing villages and Porthallow beach for fun day trips and activities.

20. Charming Hoxton loft

This space just emanates cool, which comes as no surprise for a warehouse flat in Hoxton, one of London’s most hip areas. Smack dab in the ever popular Shoreditch, the area is buzzing with cafes, bars, boutiques, restaurants, and city life. The loft’s large windows let in a generous amount of natural light, perfect for perusing the owner’s extensive book collection or cooking up a meal in the spacious kitchen, possibly with some tunes in the background playing from the vintage Victrola. Just 15 minutes to Brick Lane, twenty to London Fields, and Barclays bikes on the corner, all of London is at your fingertips with this space.
