The recently renovated Artmore Hotel in Atlanta’s trendy Midtown neighborhood epitomizes the metropolitan vibe that Atlanta is known for. The outside of the hotel still reflects the original Mediterranean façade while the interior opens up to a surprise of modern design and art. Of course, the surprises aren’t just attached to the art. There are plenty of other unique touches to enhance your stay.

A historic yet contemporary hotel

While the original look of the 92-year-old hotel’s exterior has been kept intact, it was meticulously restored to enhance the Artmore’s many Spanish Mediterranean nuances. The same attention to detail went into the overall restoration of the hotel’s interior. Guests are greeted in the hotel’s lobby to a backdrop of a sculpted wall that is bathed in what can be described as both soothing and sexy colors. The warmth of the interior continues throughout the rest of the hotel to welcome guests into Atlanta’s artistic side.

The comforts of home

The club-like feel of the lobby may not carry over to the Artmore’s accommodations, but the comfortable, contemporary vibe does. Each of the hotel’s rooms and suites and enjoy a palette of calming tans and whites with splashes of red to bring the room to life. The comforting touches continue with the many in-room amenities like iPod docking stations, refrigerators, rain showerheads, AVEDA bath products, and Keurig coffeemakers. Room options range from Deluxe Queen Rooms to Executive King Rooms to Two-Bedroom Suites. Families may opt for one of the studio accommodations, which comes complete with a full kitchen.

Customized features

The renovated Artmore was designed with “extras” to make each guest feel at home, no matter what their needs. Fitness buffs will enjoy the many workout machines in the hotel’s gym. Guests traveling with pets will take full advantage of the Barkmore Package (fees and deposits apply), which includes a dog bowl, doggie pillow, treats, bottled water, and a chew toy. There’s also a business center for those looking to catch up on email outside of their hotel room but still in a quiet setting. The best amenity though could be the spacious courtyard. It’s a perfect place to sip a cup of coffee in the morning or a cocktail at night. Check for special manager events in the courtyard during your stay.

Many of Atlanta’s top attractions are just a short walk away like the Fox Theatre, Woodruff Arts Center, and Atlanta Station. The neighborhood is also studded with some of Atlanta’s best dining, nightlife, and shopping options. A bit further away by foot is the Centennial Olympic Park, the World of Coca-Cola, and the Georgia Aquarium. Also convenient to the Artmore is the MARTA rapid-transit system. The nearest stop is across the street, and the system can transport guests all throughout downtown and beyond with stops in Buckhead and at the airport.

Located within the Artmore is one of Atlanta’s top cocktail bars, the Studio Bar & Cocktail Garden, which serves local beer, wine, and craft cocktails alongside delicious small plates. Be sure to check out one of their creative daily food specials. Drinks and bites can be enjoyed either inside the hip bar or in the garden, which overlooks West Peachtree Street (and makes for some great people watching). The Gallery Café is the Artmore’s onsite breakfast option.
