Day 1 Bali Itinerary: Tanah Lot and Kuta Beach
Start your day by visiting the iconic Tanah Lot Temple, a beautiful 16th century shrine set on an offshore rock in azure blue ocean waters. Meaning “Land in the Sea”, Tanah Lot is part of a chain of seven sea temples that spiritually protect Bali. It is just 30km from Denpasar, or less than an hour’s drive from Seminyak or Kuta. Do visit the temple early to avoid hordes of tourists as it can get very crowded, especially during sunset. However, if you’re willing to brave the crowds, sunsets from Tanah Lot are breathtaking as the brilliant setting sun creates the silhouette of the temple. What’s more romantic than that?
Afterwards, head down to Kuta’s Made’s Warung to satisfy those hunger pangs after a morning of exploring Tanah Lot. Originally opened in 1969 as a street-food stall, Made’s Wurang has expanded to Seminyak and now have an extensive menu serving sumptuous Indonesian, Western and even Japanese food.
Spend the afternoon familiarizing yourself with the streets of Kuta, including Kuta Beachwalk, Kuta Square and Kuta Art Market. At Kuta Beachwalk, you and your loved one will find numerous international brands like Versace and Armani but also Balinese designer boutiques. Check out the west Kuta Square for surfwear and swimming apparel or east Kuta Square for a quick bite or a refreshing fruit juice. Kuta Art Market, just 200m from Kuta Square, is where you’ll find a bunch of souvenirs for gifts.
If you’re feeling adventurous, head down to Kuta Beach where you’ll find numerous surfing schools like Pro Surf School and Odysseys Surf School. Kuta’s waves are suitable for both beginners and advanced surfers alike. Alternatively, enjoy a romantic stroll along the beach or bob along the waves.
Make your way to Jimbaran for a mouth-watering dinner by the sunset. You’ll love the gorgeous view and fresh seafood at Made Bagus Café or Akua Bali Restaurant. Additionally, Jimbaran Bay is full of delightful seafood options.
Day 2 Bali Itinerary: Uluwatu
Spend a relaxed morning together at this charming studio in Canggu, where you can make your very own couple jewellery! House of Alaia offers a truly unique experience where you can custom make your own rings. You and your sweetheart will learn traditional techniques of silversmithing during this three-hour class with the help of your friendly guides and experienced silversmiths.
For lunch, try dining at the inexpensive Betelnut Café where you’ll get a great view of Canggu and large portions of tasty and healthy food. Betelnut Café also caters to vegetarians and vegans, which is a big plus.
At 3:30pm, embark on the Uluwatu Sunset Tour. You’ll be picked up from your hotel if it’s in Legian, Seminyak, Nusa Dua, Kuta, Sanur, Denpasar, etc. Nestled atop a cliff overlooking ocean blue waters from 70 meters above, Uluwatu temple is believed by Balinese Hindus where the divine trinity became one. Thus, Uluwatu temple is a sacred place of worship and visitors must wear appropriate clothing. During this tour, you’ll enjoy the Kecak dance performances and a BBQ seafood dinner at Jimbaran Bay while marveling at the sunset.

Day 3 Bali Itinerary: Ubud
The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary awaits. Explore this Hindu temple complex and nature reserve in Ubud with your loved one. You’ll have a fun filled morning getting up-close with the monkeys with lots of photo opportunities.
Some great lunch places include Putu’s Wild Ginger and Luxe Café. Putu’s Wild Ginger is a small charming local warung that serves an excellent Balinese smoked duck while Luxe Café offers both Western food and interesting Balinese food with a twist.
Of course, what’s a trip to Ubud without seeing the gorgeous emerald green rice fields? Head down to Tegallalang Rice Terraces for an afternoon hike and revel in the beauty of these rice terraces. A bike tour is strongly recommended as you’ll be able to see smaller villages and other rice fields as well.
Book a garden seat at Mozaic, one of Bali’s finest restaurants. You and your loved one will be tasting artistic and exquisite French dishes in the middle of a tropical forest. This romantic candlelit dinner is perfect after a long day of experiencing the magic of Ubud.

Day 4 Bali Itinerary: Mount Batur
Get ready for an early morning sunrise trek at Mount Batur, an active volcano considered sacred to Balinese Hindus. It is recommended to engage an experienced local guide to assist you during the climb as it might be physically challenging. However, the stunning and picturesque view is definitely worth every step. Enjoying your well deserved breakfast under the brilliant red glow of the rising sun with your loved one after conquering Mount Batur is an experience you will not forget!
Have a delectable lunch at either Kedisan Resort and Resto Apung or Lakeview Restaurant. Both restaurants serve fantastic food with an excellent view to boot.
After an appetizing lunch, head back to Kuta for some well deserved rest.
