Only a decade ago, craft beer options in Bangalore were rather limited. Today, the craft beer scene in India’s Silicon Valley is burgeoning as the Bangalorean appetite for a variety of brews grows. In addition to having luxury hotels and resorts, the city is also home to a plethora of microbreweries and brewpubs offering innovative and delicious beers, from Indian pale ales and stout to lager and Belgian-style wheat beers. But there is more to be had than just beer in these microbreweries. They also serve a wide range of food items, from Indian to international fare, to line your rumbling stomach. Here’s a rundown of the best microbreweries in Bangalore, India. Keep reading.

1. Arbor Brewing Company

Arbor Brewing Company (ABC) is an American craft brewery that was founded by Matt and Rene Greff in 1995, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They entered the Indian market in 2012 by partnering with a Bangalore native, Gaurav Sikka, and became India’s first American-style brewery. It produces a fantastic selection of beers, ranging from traditional Irish stout with a hint of Turkish coffee and dark chocolate to Garam Masala Pale Ale, vintage Belgian Triple and refreshing German-style Pilsner. There’s a beer for every palate. Add to that the music from the 90s and American-style pub fare, and it knocks the socks off many of its fancy neighbors.
