This place is a little pricy for those on a budget, but the food is definitely worth it. They have steak and seafood, different types of chicken, and their desserts are little pieces of heaven. Ranging from 10 USD for appetizers and up to 100 USD for a big steak, they have good appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The lobster mac and cheese is a popular item on the menu at all times of the day. The atmosphere might be a little too fancy for some, as it is a considered a five star restaurant, but if travelers wish to go, they get to dress up and be fancy for an evening out. The restaurant is open until 11 pm Friday and Saturday, open until 9 pm on Sundays, and they close at 10 pm Monday through Thursday. Definitely a place to check out in the evening hours of Pittsburgh.

2. Butcher and the Rye
coppa di testa, foie blonde pâté & beef cheeks | the newest dishes to the menu in the Charcuterie, Pâté & Terrines
Posted by Butcher and the Rye on Tuesday, 25 April 2017
A relatively new restaurant, Butcher and the Rye has only been open since 2013. Starting with the customer service, Butcher and the Rye’s employees treat everyone with utmost respect. They are generous and help customers with any questions they may have about their menu. Inside the two story building are tables with oil lanterns on them instead of the usual candles. It really makes customers feel like they are in an old time place. This restaurant is well known for their drinks list. They have a large list of adult beverages to choose from and the prices range from a simple 6 USD drink all the way up to a 40 USD whiskey mixture. Now the food is something else entirely. It is considered to be a rustic Americana menu with a lot of meat and potato recipes. The food ranges from 5 USD to under 35 USD, so their prices aren’t too bad for the delicious food.

3. Bigham Tavern
Editor's Note: Photo taken from the establishment's official social account
For a meal that won’t cost an arm and a leg, this little tavern has some yummy food for customers to enjoy. They have great burgers and you can either get a side of potato chips or french fries. On Saturdays, they have a Bud Light beer special for only 2.75 USD. The building isn’t anything too special, but paired with good food and company, this place is a must-visit.

4. Proper Brick Oven and Tap Room
Already dreaming of lunch? The Proper Pronto pizza truck will be at Carmody Court in Sewickley from 11-1 today!
Posted by Proper Brick Oven & Tap Room on Tuesday, 23 August 2016
This is a pizza joint that serves beer, and beer and pizza go together quite well. But keep in mind that this isn’t a restaurant. It’s actually a food truck that serves pizza on the street! Not too many pizzerias actually use an old brick oven anymore to bake their pizzas, and that’s what makes them taste so good here.

5. Fat Head's Saloon
🚨New Headwich Alert🚨 The G-MAN is dedicated to another Beer Camp Founding Father and friend, Garret Hurley. We piled this one high with house-smoked pulled pork, Carolina sauce, slaw, onions and Frickles.

A great place to pick up a good burger, Fat Head’s Saloon in South Side Pittsburgh is an easy going restaurant and not too expensive. They have some fun and creative sandwiches — The G-Man has fried pickles on it — and they are pretty good. One can also drink a beer with their sandwich if they don’t have too much else to do that day.

6. Meat and Potatoes
our chicken & buttermilk waffles are now served "pittsburgh ranch" or "nashville hot" with a side of maple syrup
Posted by Meat & Potatoes on Saturday, 8 April 2017
Another non expensive joint, the customers always come first in this place. Fun fact, meat and potatoes is not all they serve. The name actually comes from the bread and butter analogy, these are staples for humans to survive on. With that in mind, the food here is amazing. their fried chicken is unlike anything customers have tasted before. They even have Fried Chicken Fridays, where fried chicken is lower in price from 11 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon. The atmosphere is so simple and pleasant; it’s hard not to enjoy your time here.

8. Nicky's Thai Kitchen
A lovely little place for those that love Asian cuisine, Nicky’s Thai Kitchen is always a good place to go. They have fried noodles with your choice of meat and vegetables, a lot of different types of sushi for those that like it, and some great crab rangoon. The atmosphere may seem a little crowded to some, as the place is not that large and they have a lot of tables set up to accommodate a lot of people, but the employees are kind and helpful with some of the menu items being hard to pronounce. Asian cuisine is different in every area, but this is definitely a place to try!

9. Noodlehead
Posted by Noodlehead on Thursday, 25 October 2012
Known for the noodles, Noodlehead is a small restaurant that seems to get a lot of attention from people all over the city. Fresh ingredients are always used, the teas (hot or iced) are yummy, and the dumplings are a great food to fill up on. This is technically a Thai restaurant, but they do have the occasional American food here too. The inside of the building is pretty large, the lighting is nice, and the restaurant has comfortable seating.

10. Point Brugge Cafe
Tonight we have pan seared corvina with local watercress, white bean and corn salad, tomatoes, onions, feta and a lemon chive dressing!
Posted by Point Brugge Cafe on Wednesday, 19 April 2017
This is a nice little Belgian cafe that serves good food. Customers can choose to dine inside or outside the cafe depending on the weather. The staff is always so gracious and accommodating, so don’t be afraid to ask questions about certain dishes. They have different desserts depending on the season. For example, they have been known to make homemade ice cream sandwiches in the summer time, which are a refreshing and delicious way to end a meal. The cafe is kind of tucked away on a quiet street, so those that are aware of it believe it to be a gem of the area. The food is delicious and with employees willing to help, it’s a place that will always bring customers back.

11. Primanti Brothers
This may sound like an Italian place but it’s actually a sandwich joint that is quite creative with their food items. The sandwiches are big and sloppy and can be served with a beer if the customer wants one. The atmosphere is kind of like a sports bar; the place has Penguins decorations all over it, but that sure isn’t a deterrent for those that love hockey.
