This hotel is located in Salmiya, Kuwait which is known to be a lively, large residential and commercial area in the country. 5. Taste of the Caribbean in Kuwait


If you are looking for a unique cuisine to indulge in or you are craving for something unusual, why not try out Caribbean Hut in Kuwait. Caribbean Hut is Kuwait’s first and only Caribbean restaurant. An extremely unassuming restaurant, this restaurant is located in Abu Halifa and is owned and run by a Puerto Rican chef and his father. Together, they whip up authentic Caribbean food, just the way it would be back in their homeland. The restaurant is nothing fancy and relatively small in size. Nonetheless, the quality of food and prices of food are impressive.

This is one restaurant that will not disappoint in its quality of food, with the taste being consistently good. Some appetizers that are offered include Chicken Empanadillas, which are essentially Puerto Rican patties made of chicken and deep fried. Tostones, which are Puerto Rico’s version of plantain chips, are also available at Caribbean Hut. Main courses worth trying are Beef Carne, Trinidadian Chicken Curry and one should not miss trying the authentic desserts. Leche Flan, made of caramel, condensed milk and sweetened milk as well as Tembleque, made of coconut milk, cinnamon and sugar are both favorites. Prices are extremely reasonable, adding to the charm of the restaurant.
