Sweet Tooth Hotel may not be the place to go in Allen if you’re looking for sweets, but it is a great place for visitors in the mood to see some great artwork. This art museum in Allen offers an immersive art experience created by emerging local and national artists.

These immersive exhibits include large-scale new media productions, retro-futurism, and even yarn. Each of these exhibits has its own set of themes and gimmicks which set them apart from one another while showcasing the artistic talent of their respective creators.

2. Allen Station Park

Allen Station Park is a citywide regional park that features a number of great facilities that encourage a lot of kid-friendly things to do in Allen, TX. Some of these facilities are baseball and softball fields, a playground, washer courts, a concrete skate park, a BMX track, and roller hockey rinks.

There is also a 12.7-kilometer (7.8-mile) long trail in the park that has been rated as an easy route that takes at least 2 hours to complete. This trail is a popular spot for biking, running, and walking. It is open year-round and allows dogs to be brought along with the condition that they would be on a leash throughout the time they are there.

3. Dayspring Nature Preserve

For nature lovers who are wondering what to do in Allen, TX, Dayspring Nature Preserve offers 23.2 acres (9.3 hectares) of heavy woodland. This wooded greenbelt park has a number of dirt trails and leafy green spaces that make it a great place for hiking and mountain biking.

The looped pedestrian trail gives nature lovers a place to go for a soothing walk along Watters Branch Creek. There is also a swing set available for the kids. There is even a pavilion available for visitors who need a place to rest or have a nice picnic.

4. Allen Old Stone Dam

Allen Old Stone Dam is a historical landmark that represents the significant event and foundation that led to the formation of the city of Allen. This dam is made up of stone bricks and was commissioned by the H&TC Railway Company in 1874 to take advantage of Allen’s proximity to Cottonwood Creek.

There is also an interpretive trail open for visitors to go on a soothing walk while learning about nature and history. Among the sights you can come across while walking through this path are the ruins of the old train water stop and the old train trestle.

8. Allen Heritage Village

Allen is rapidly developing, but despite this it still has a respect for its past. This is why it has placed such a heavy importance on the preservation of its oldest remaining homes. 12. Celebration Park

Allen’s Celebration Park is the newest community park and it includes large areas for fun and relaxation such as BBQ pits, baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts and playgrounds. Visit the Nine-Band Brewery for a tour of the factory, some samples and a great location to chill out with some friends.
