It might seem like an unconventional place to be called a mall because Catawba River Antique Mall is a 6,000 square meter (60,000 square foot) beautiful historic 109-year-old mill with high ceilings, hard pine columns and maple hardwood floors. Be prepared to spend several hours shopping and gazing at an endless variety of antiques (obviously) and collectibles in over 300 vendor booths in this mall. In merely five years, it has become one of the most popular parks in Belmont. Sadly there are no goats here, so don’t go by the name! It has walking trails, playgrounds, swings, an 18-hole disc golf course, fishing pier, canoe/kayak facilities, picnic tables, table tennis boards and plenty of green open space. With so much to do, all you need is the perfect company and you can easily spend a couple of hours here with your kids.
