The Sampson County History Museum is your key to the rich history of this North Carlina region. Founded in 1997, this museum has grown from five rooms of the 1903 antique home in historic downtown to a small village of 11 separate museum buildings! Now, the museum takes up a 0.8-hectare (two-acre) lot at the corner of Lisbon, Powell, and Graham Street. The Sampson County History Museum houses artifacts and antiques from the region, including things like the early 1900s restored gas pump, millstones, an old general store, and even the sports hall of fame. This museum is a North Carolina staple!

You haven’t lived until you’ve experienced a haunted hayride in Clinton, North Carolina! Open every Saturday throughout October is the Clinton Hollerin Haunts Hayride, located just outside of town. This hayride features scary stories, spooky surprises, and isn’t for the faint of heart!

4. Get active at Seven Gables Skating Rink

Established by a local family in 1973, the Seven Gables Skating Rink has been a fun place for kids and families for over thirty years! This roller rink hasn’t changed much since the derby-disco days of the 70s. You don’t have to be a pro skater to enjoy the Seven Gables Skating Rink. Classes are available for all levels, and the rink is open several times a week for public skate.
