The Sampson County History Museum is your key to the rich history of this North Carlina region. Founded in 1997, this museum has grown from five rooms of the 1903 antique home in historic downtown to a small village of 11 separate museum buildings! Now, the museum takes up a 0.8-hectare (two-acre) lot at the corner of Lisbon, Powell, and Graham Street. The Sampson County History Museum houses artifacts and antiques from the region, including things like the early 1900s restored gas pump, millstones, an old general store, and even the sports hall of fame.
