One of the lesser-known attractions in Greer is Suber’s Corn Mill. Open only from 9 am to 3 pm on Saturdays, this historical landmark processes corn into grits and animal feed, which are all sold locally. The staff and owners will be happy to welcome you to the mill and show you their daily workings. Suber’s Mill was established around 1908 and uses water power in their corn grinding. The mill is also one of the best places to get the best and the freshest cornmeal you’ll ever have!

Greer’s Century Park is a great place to spend a few hours on a nice day, especially if you have children. Fishers Orchard has been around since 1930, providing Greer with fresh peaches. Their farm has a Pick-Your-Own option, where you can pick as many peaches as you’d like. They do warn that it is a working farm, so you should prepare to wear proper footwear, stay hydrated, and shield yourself from the sun.

They also have two farm stores in Greer, which sell fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as jams and ciders. If you’re in Greer in October, check out their fall festival. The farm has a maze and offers wagon rides. If you’re traveling with family, this place to go in Greer is a great way to spend some time. Kids love picking peaches, and you’ll leave with a basket of sweet fruit!
