At Dana Peak Park, you can enjoy the Stillhouse Hollow Lake with a variety of outdoor activities including camping, water sports, hiking, horseback riding, hiking, picnicking, hunting, fishing and more. With large group pavilions, the park is the perfect place for family gatherings or to just enjoy the afternoon with a few friends. The 2,602-hectare (6,430-acre) lake is perfect for cooling off on a hot Texas afternoon, but if you don’t feel like playing in the water, you can always explore the nearby forested area.

Because few shores are developed, the lake is the perfect place to experience nature basically untouched. Largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and catfish call the clear deep water home, living next door to an array of birds including hawks, Great Blue herons, ducks, geese, many songbird species and more. Trails also surround the lake, giving visitors a self-guided tour of nature and Texas’ wildlife.
