For first-timers, “tandem skydiving” is the safest and easiest way to do the first jump. You will be assisted with experienced and trained staff, so you are in good hands. The team will give you about 20 minutes of training. Afterward, it’s time to fall - you and your buddy (staff) will jump together and accelerate to 120 mph (200 kph), speeding towards the earth. The parachute will be opened at about 1,524 m (5,000 ft) - don’t worry, the staff will assist you all throughout, from steering the parachute to the landing. Zephyr Park & Waterplay is a splendid place to bring the family, especially kids. The park has no rides or pool (just pure old-fashioned fun) - there is spraying/falling water, where the kiddos can play like they are having fun with rain. The park is situated near a huge park with a variety of playgrounds. What’s more, there is also a nice lake, which is a good spot to walk around. All of these are free of charge!

Perched around the railroad, Zephyrhills Train Depot Museum has plenty of happenings for everyone. If you are looking for a place to relax with your family, this depot museum is a good spot. It is not crowded. It features a deck which is available for little parties, two sets of playgrounds (for smaller and older kids), and some tables and benches - good for a picnic. You will learn a lot about the history of Zephyrhills as you see plenty of informative placards. I bet that the kiddos will go crazy about the old trains and planes. This is really a nice and cheap treat for the family.
