1. Visit the Zoo Zurich


A zoo is a place for everyone, no matter how old! With the more than 380 species of animals that inhabit the Zoo Zurich, you and your family can spend the whole day exploring the animal kingdom. The zoo is open 365 days a year, so you can visit whenever you want, without having to worry whether the zoo will be open or closed. Don’t miss meeting the seals, apes and penguins when they are being fed, as the feeding time is one of the zoo’s highlights. Good news for kids below 6 years old, they can enter the zoo for free! Children and adults, depending on age categories, will have to pay different entrance fees.

2. Take a boat ride on Zurich Lake


The best way to enjoy the beauty of the famous Zurich Lake is by taking a short lake tour, on a boat. Take a short round trip, the most ideal for parents traveling with kids. It will last for approximately 1.5 hours and you can enjoy the breeze and, if you like, choose to dine on the boat. Ticket prices start from 9.40 CHF (9.40 USD) for children below 16 and 13.80 CHF (13.80 USD) for adults.

3. Go-karting on the Rümlang track

Located right by Zurich Airport, it is up to you and your family whether to go-kart upon arrival in Zurich or later when you are going back home. You can race against the other drivers on the track with a maximum speed of 55 km (34 miles) per hour. Mini karts are available for children between the ages of 7 and 11. If your kids are younger than 7 years old, they can use the Rocky Kart Track. Overalls, gloves and a helmet are provided for every driver, so you don’t need to worry about safety, here. Open every single day, the ticket price for children is slightly cheaper than the ticket for adults. Children up to 11 years old have to pay 20 CHF (20 USD), while adults are 25 CHF (25 USD).

4. Explore the collection of toys at Zurich Toy Museum
