2. Annapurna Temple

Legends said that the depth of the water is unknown and it goes as deep as the underground world, called “Patal,” which is a Hindi word. 5. Rajwada

Rajwada is a historical and iconic structure in Indore. The Rajwada building was built by the Holkars of the Maratha empire in 1776. This seven storied building is an amalgamation of Mughal, French and Maratha architecture styles. It was built two centuries ago and is located near the Chhatris in the main square. Chhatris is located on the banks of the Khan River and have stood the test of time. These are beautifully built and intelligently carved structures. The cenotaphs are built out of stone and have a domed architecture with pyramid-shaped points. One of the best times to visit this architecture is in the night hours.

8. Khajrana Temple

Khajrana Ganesh Temple is extremely popular for housing the largest Ganpati statue in the world. The temple was built in 1735 by Rani Ahilyabai Holkar. The Ganpati statue is made of limestone, jaggery, brick, and mud and has a frame decorated with precious metals. Over the many years, the temple underwent several changes to finally take the shape that it keeps today. You can see a big celebration of the festival of Vinayaka Chaturthi held in the month of August/September.

9. Nehru Park


At Nehru Park, you will get a chance to look at Indore’s flora and fauna and it’s consider to be the most famous zoological park in the city.
