Voted one of the most romantic places for couples in the U.S, with the island only 20 miles (32.2 kilometers) long, Islamorada, Florida is the perfect place for tranquility and quality time together. An island full of variety, as well as relaxation, these are some of the best things for couples to see and do.
1. Alligator Reef Lighthouse
Built in 1820, this site can be easily identified by the reigning 136-foot (41.5 meter) tall lighthouse tower. If you are looking for a different kind of diving experience, the site is a great place for underwater exploring, with a range of depths from a shallow 8 feet (2.4 meter), all the way down to 40 feet (12.2 meter), so is great for experienced divers or those who want to try exploring further.
Divers can make a few discoveries here, such as hard and soft coral, and a variety of tropical fish. The experience includes mooring buoys, the coral reef, the marine preserve and the wreck site, from where the reef developed.

The most romantic of the things to do on our list and a favorite with couples, this little beach has many secluded nooks for picnics and is easily accessible by the boardwalk, with established paths to the beach.
