The Women’s Museum of California (WMofC) is a nonprofit museum, located in San Diego, California and dedicated to the history of women. It was founded in the year 1983, under the name of the “Women’s History Reclamation Project”. 2. Cabrillo National Monument and Old Point Loma Lighthouse
Cabrillo National Monument is a beautiful historical site, located at the southern tip of Point Loma, San Diego, California. The place is a memorial to the landing of Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, in San Diego Bay in the year 1542. The monument is designated as a California Historical Landmark and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places, since October 15, 1966.
The Old Point Loma Lighthouse is the highest point in the park and has been a San Diego attraction since 1855. The old lighthouse is now a museum and visitors may go in to have a look at some of the living areas.

3. Point Loma Tide Pools
The Point Loma Tide Pools, popularly known as the Cabrillo Tide Pools, are located at the tip of Point Loma and face west, near the new Point Loma Lighthouse. These tide pools are the most comprehensive in San Diego County and are an admired destination for a classroom field trip. A vehicle is required to visit the lower area of the park and sole gripping shoes are recommended for a walk in the tide pool.

4. Sunset Cliffs Natural Park
Sunset Cliffs Natural Park is a city park at the western edge of Point Loma and covers an area of 68 acres (27.5 hectares). The park was dedicated in the year 1983 and stretches from Adair to Ladera Street. The park is adorned with beautifully carved coastal bluffs and arches, along with sea caves and is a very well-known place to view the sunset.

5. Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery
Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery is a federal military cemetery, located on the grounds of the former Army coastal artillery station, Fort Rosecrans. The cemetery is looked after by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and is nearly 10 miles (16 km) west of downtown San Diego.
The name of Fort Rosecrans derives its origin from William Starke Rosecrans, who was a Union general in the American Civil War. The cemetery was recognized as a California Historical Landmark on December 6, 1932. The cemetery covers an area of over 77.5 acres (31.4 hectares), on both sides of Catalina Blvd.
