2. Callestick Farm - Cornish ice cream
Who doesn’t love a fresh, creamy scoop of ice cream? At Callestick, their famous ice cream is made from fresh milk from the farm’s cows. There’s even a little tea room, farm shop, and a viewing room where you can watch the ice cream being made. Once you take a bite, you’ll understand why this ice cream has won so many awards. Choose from classic flavors or flavors like chunky stem ginger, orange & Cointreau, clotted cream & blackcurrants, or a range of sorbet flavors.
The store is open from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Saturday and 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday.

3. Truro cathedral
Truro Cathedral is a majestic building that defines the skyline of the town with its tall towers. If you’re a fan of architecture and stained glass art, you really must visit. There’s also a cafe in the cathedral if you’d like to stay for a bit, and the breakfast food is especially delicious.
Truro Cathedral is open from 7:30 AM to 6 PM on weekdays and 9 AM to 5 PM on Sundays. The cathedral still holds services, so if you’d like to visit and explore on your own, call ahead to determine service times.

4. Healey's Cornish Cyder Farm

Opened in 1980, Healey’s Cornish Cyder Farm is an authentic cyder-making venue. You can tour the farm, visit the visitor center, have a glass of chilled cider and a home-cooked meal in the restaurant, or even visit the farm animals. It’s not just a place to drink great cider, it’s an authentic experience.
If you happen to visit in the fall, stop by the Little Orchard Cyder Festival, where you’ll be able to enjoy live music, vendors, and tractor rides. The farm is open from 9 AM to 8 PM Monday to Saturday and 10 AM to 8 PM on Sunday.

5. Hall for Cornwall
Hall for Cornwall is a theater and performing arts venue. You might be able to catch a live theater show here, including musicals and plays, or check out a concert. The hall also includes a restaurant and coffee shop and holds flea markets on a regular basis. Even if you don’t have the chance to watch a show, stop by and browse the flea market. Check out the website to see what shows will be playing when you’re in town.

6. Take a boat tour
There are a variety of boat tours available on the Truro River, but we recommend St Mawes Sit-on Kayaks, Mini Cruises & Water Taxi. Guests absolutely love the friendly staff and knowledgeable guides. Go on a kayak, a RIB (rigid inflatable boat), or take a water taxi ride, if you’d like to get from one spot in Truro to another. It’s a great way to see the city from the water.

7. Visit St. Agnes Beach

St. Agnes Beach is not only stunning, it provides a safe place to swim, monitored by lifeguards. Swim at the beach or enjoy the nearby rock pools. It’s also a great place for surfing. Even if you don’t want to swim, the view is incredible, and there’s a cafe nearby, where you can grab light options like soup, salads, sandwiches and coffee. St. Agnes is just a short drive from Truro, and the little town is a fun place to explore.

8. Royal Cornwall Museum
With Cornish and European archaeology collections, Cornish art collections, and art focusing on the southwest region of England, this museum has a variety of interesting pieces to explore. It’s also free for children! There’s a dining area included in the museum if you’d like to grab a bite to eat, after exploring.
The museum is open 10 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday through Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM on Sunday and it is closed on Monday.
