2. Nanxi River Scenic Area

This is a scenic area located in the region and the river is also known as ‘heavenly river,’ under Chinese folklore and mythology. There is lot of green in the area and the valley with rare species of trees, flora and fauna. There are also picturesque and scenic villages along the river and rocks jutting out like cliffs, with prominent examples being the cliff of Daruo and the Water Rock. There is also a village near the Daruo cliff that has ancient pavilions, temples and palaces and is a popular tourism destination in this part of the country.

3. Jiangxinyu Island

The island is located in the north of Wenzhou along the side and is known for beautiful landscapes and historical specimens that make this a unique travel hotspot. The island is especially noted for Chinese poets who wrote their poems there and it also contains temples and religious culture with the Jiangxin Temple and East and West pagodas. There is also nightlife activity on the island, created by using lights and decorations, that make it a fairyland destination in the country.

4. Baizhangji and Feiyun Lake

The lake is located in the upper and middle reaches of the Feiyun River in the district of Wencheng and is famous for the Chinese politician and military leader Liu, and there is also a Liu pagoda in the area that recognizes the leader. The area has natural landscapes like the Mountain Forest National Park that is also considered a national heritage site and an ecological protection area. There is also the Baizhai Waterfall in the area, considered the tallest waterfall in China.

5. Nanji Island

The island of Nanji is located on the coast and is considered the first ecological sanctuary of the islands of China. The beach of Dashaao is famous for the clear waters and white sands and is a popular place for bathing and swimming under the sun, besides having reservoirs for marine species and algae and also coral reefs and islands. The area is a protected marine reserve and has large species of marine flora and fauna in an ecological area.
