Vienna is a centuries-old city in Austria that has more history than you can shake a stick at. While visiting, you should certainly stop and explore some of the city’s more historical sites, just don’t forget to also stop and explore some of the typical fares found in the region. Some of the foods you’ll want to try during your trip include wiener schnitzel, goulash, and tafelspitz, which should be followed by sachertorte or an apple strudel for dessert. What’s even better is that many of the best cafes to try these foods in throughout Vienna are old enough to be considered historical on their own, so you know the food you’ll be served is top notch - they wouldn’t have lasted this long-serving bad food!
