Enjoy the open-air living space & garden area inside
This quaint garden apartment, with private and secure entry on the first floor, has a total of 2 bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed and the other with twin bunk beds, accommodating up to 4 people. There are ceiling fans throughout the apartment, in both the living spaces and bedrooms, in addition to the two A/C units in each bedroom to ensure you sleep cool on those hot Nicaraguan evenings during your stay.
The spacious bathroom has not only hot water and amazing water pressure, but it also has a huge bathtub to enjoy soaking in after a long day of surf and exploring the area! After a relaxing bath, feel free to enjoy their complimentary Wi-Fi or perhaps brush up on your Spanish and watch some local television in the airy living room. Alternatively, you can grab a book from the shelves and cozy up in the garden area that is lined with the hammocks. Kick up your feet and enjoy!
Although located closely to many great restaurants, the apartment comes with a fully-equipped kitchen, if you would prefer to cook. A full-sized stove and oven; along with the cutlery and dishes you would need to make a delicious home cooked meal come with the apartment. The kind and thoughtful hosts at La Terraza also include filtered drinking water for you during your stay! Score!
Take a nice stroll down their beautiful beach in town
During our 3-night stay in June, we only experienced a few tropical rain, which actually helped cool us off at some points. Since the apartment was so close to everything, it was not a problem to get back in time before getting soaked! With the beach only 2 short blocks West of the building, we visited the beach daily. On our route back, we would weave through the tiny town streets, window shop and stop for the occasional snack or refreshing drink at one of the many delicious restaurants and/or bars.

If you are travelling with children, the central park area (Parque Central) is conveniently located, just steps away outside to the East of La Terraza. Additionally, if you are traveling with a group and need transport anywhere in Nicaragua; the taxis, buses and shuttles are all located within a stone’s throw of the building.
Initially, the price and the location were the main reasons for us to choose La Terraza garden apartment. However, I was quite impressed with the quick and reliable level of correspondence the host maintained from the initial request, to the booking, all the way until we checked-out. This assured us that we were choosing a reputable host, who took as much pride in the booking and was readily available to ensure our stay was comfortable and pleasurable.
La Terraza is a beautiful 3-story yellow building in town
Depending on how you get to the apartment, just be aware at the time of our stay that there was no signage on the street. However, most the taxi drivers seemed to know it by name and by saying “The 3 story yellow building by the park”. Otherwise, don’t worry. Just ask to go to the central park (Parque Central) and from there, the building is a few steps to the West. Alternatively, if you find yourself by the “Municipal Market” walk 1 block South and La Terraza is located just to the West of the corner.
