A great little spot that I sometimes visit is Lotus Tea and Coffee; you'll find it right under the footbridge facing the mall. There's a Domino's and McDo in the same area, too, in case you get the hankering for some fast food.

Sol Y Viento is high up in Mt. Makiling and a bit far from the highway, so make sure you have all you need if you plan to stay here for a few days. The traffic in Pansol can get a bit hectic (as in bumper-to-bumper) on the weekends, especially in the summer, so I'd recommend arriving here before the rush hour. The resort has its own restaurant, but there are plenty of choices along the highway, too, like Andok's for grilled chicken, Tita Sally's for Filipino fare, and California Beach for pizza and late-night drinks.

Centtro Residences is in an ideal spot in Elbi (Los Baños, my hometown). The building itself has a supermarket and some food options (Bonchon, Cafe Ella), but my favorite Elbi Gems are just along Grove itself. Walk towards the UPLB Gate and you'll find Cafelandia, which has the best-tasting tapsilog in town, IMHO. You can also turn right on F.O. Santos where one of my favorite coffee spots, Forty Thirty, is located! If you like to have a laid-back afternoon, make sure you enter the UPLB campus and visit Freedom Park. For a nice, hearty meal, you can take a quick jeepney ride to Junction and dine at Laksarap So Good (they temporarily closed but reopened in October 2023).

I am pretty familiar with the area, and some of my favorite spots around the hotel are Tuding's Original Porkchop (it's located by the hotel parking lot - very convenient!). There's also a Jollibee along the highway, and a 7/11, in case you need some late-night snacks. Hotel Marciano is about a three-minute ride (minus traffic) to SM Calamba. If you're riding a jeep, the fare should be Php 12 as of October 2023. For a taste of local cuisine, RSM Lutong Bahay (translates to home-cooked food) offers a variety of Filipino "ulam". If you happen to have cravings for soup, Aviles Restaurant is also just along the Real highway; be sure to try their signature bulalo (beef shank soup)!
