1. Alliance Patisserie

Here’s one place you’ll enter feeling lovestruck and exit feeling frustrated simply because you couldn’t try everything from their selection. Their light, airy, and puffy macarons available in many flavours are simply to-die-for. Key lime pastry, S'more tart, Macadamia pastry, Dominique pastry are a very few from a vast range of yummies they have available. The prices are slightly on the higher end, but their delicate flavours will make you want to shell out all that money with a goofy smile on your face. Nothing says classic like a cuppa coffee paired with a simple doughnut. Head to this fairly inexpensive place if you find yourself in a doughnut fix while in Chicago. They offer normal as well as mini-sized doughnuts, so you can have your fill without feeling sick. Their icing is simply delightful, the glaze is shiny and smooth, and doughnuts do not at all feel greasy or oily. They run out of most of their signature items pretty quickly, so go there while it’s not too late. Also, there’s very limited seating space, so it’s best you pick up your order for takeout.
