There is so much to explore in Japan and of course for many travelers, food is one of these things. However, many international travelers often have a hard time finding food if they are vegetarians or vegans. If this sounds like you, look no further! Even if you are not a vegetarian or vegan, you will definitely find Organic Café M2, an organic café in Akazawa, satisfying.
Find a little hidden organic café

Organic Café M2 is located right in front of Akazawa Beach in Akazawa, Izu. The location is a little hidden, thus it might be little hard to find, but this café is always filled with locals and travelers who care about what they eat. (If you are new to this area, don’t worry. If you take a bus, it stops right in front of the cafe by Akazawa Beach.) Organic Café M2, is only open from lunch time to afternoon tea time (11.00 am - 4.00 pm) so if you definitely want to be able to have lunch here, make sure to go early! They can only serve a certain amount of lunch, so even if you get there after 2.00 pm, or even after 1.30 pm, you may not be able to order it.
Enjoy Izu local food & organic living

The lunch menu at Organic Café M2 is simple. They have a seasonal lunch plate at 1,250 JPY with a choice of rice or bread, and Thai curry at the price of 1,000 JPY. Of course, they also have a desserts and drink menu, but most people only come to eat lunch and maybe a little bit of post-lunch afternoon tea. What is so special about Organic Café M2 is that all the vegetables used at the café are grown locally. In addition, all the spices used for cooking are also organic. They do not use any meat, dairy products, or white sugar. (Chiffon cake contains eggs so vegan people might like to check what is used in the desserts for the day.)
