Located in the Landstraße at Rennweg 16, Austria Trend Hotel Savoyen Vienna is a luxury 4-star hotel that is most suitable for business travellers and those travelling for pleasure. If you like quietness, nature, culture and the opportunity to be close to the city centre, then this is the perfect hotel for you. If you fancy having Belvedere Palace and the Botanical Gardens as your back-garden and the possibility of bumping into Jude Law, then I would advise you to read on.

An unforgettable first impression

First impressions count and I can guarantee that you won’t be underwhelmed when you enter Austria Trend Hotel Savoyen Vienna. The entrance to this grand hotel is beautifully decorated and so wonderfully spacious. Whilst this hotel is luxurious, it still has a real welcoming and comforting feel to it. Upon arrival and when you check-in, you will be greeted by professional and hospitable staff, who will swiftly provide you with your room key, as a porter takes your luggage and subsequently escorts you to your room. The hotel also tries to accommodate early check-in and late check-out requests when possible, so if you’re early when checking-in, fear not and get ready to enjoy this fabulous establishment!

Fantastic facilities and a brilliant pianist too

The hotel has a number of facilities such as multiple lounge areas, a fitness centre, a spa and even a sauna.

The lounge areas are extremely comfortable and excellent if you’re a business traveller and want to do some work but do not want to be confined solely to your room. The lounges are brilliantly well lit and there are tables of differing heights to accommodate your needs. There are also two computers available with internet. Complimentary Wi-Fi of an average strength is also available throughout the entire hotel.

The fitness centre is small but does have a decent selection of equipment such as a treadmill, a cross trainer, bikes and free weights. It’s fantastic if you want a quick workout; however, be warned that if you like to exercise in the early morning, you may have to wake up early as the fitness centre gets very busy from the moment it opens at 7.00am. So, either wake up earlier to guarantee a certain piece of equipment in the fitness centre or work-out later on in the day. Alternatively, go for a run in the gardens of Belvedere Palace which are less than 5 minutes’ walking distance from the hotel!

There are three places in the hotel where you can dine. There is the quirky and smart Bar Soissons on the ground floor, the Prinz von Savoyen Restaurant on the second floor and the very glamorous Eugenio Restaurant on the fifth floor. In the evening, if you decide to eat outside of the hotel, I would recommend having a drink in the Bar Soissons as there is a fantastic pianist performing in the evenings and creating a lovely atmosphere.

Spacious lounges and spacious rooms

Austria Trend Hotel Savoyen Vienna offers different types of rooms and has 238 deluxe rooms, 28 executive rooms, 20 suites, 15 executive suites and 8 special suites. As with the spacious entrance and lounge areas, all the rooms in this hotel are extremely large and have soft beds with numerous pillows to make you feel comfortable. The bathrooms are very modern and stylish and are the type where you want to have a bubble bath in for a few hours!

The 7th and 8th floors house only executive and special suites, where you will be able to get exceptional views of the stunning Belvedere Palace. Importantly for all food lovers, if you’re staying on the 7th or 8th floor, you will have direct access to the Executive Lounge (which is based in the Eugenio Restaurant) where you can treat yourself to complimentary food from 7.00am up until 5.00pm, whilst enjoying the balcony area which overlooks the rooftops of Vienna. Breakfast is also served in the Executive Lounge.

I would recommend booking an executive or special suite because the views from these rooms are sensational and the food, including breakfast, is delicious. The 7th and 8th floors are ideal for those who want a quieter and more relaxing experience as the hotel’s main restaurant, the Prinz von Savoyen Restaurant, can get very busy during the day and the constant chatter of guests may not be to your liking. The cost for an executive suite starts at 235 EUR (approximately 256 USD) per night. However, the cheapest rooms - the deluxe rooms - start at around 120 EUR (approximately 131 USD) per night and are still well worth it!

Indulge in quality food and bedtime candy!

Austria Trend Hotel Savoyen Vienna is located perfectly next to Rennweg Train Station which is 2 tram stops away from the Ringstraße Boulevard, the centre of Vienna. If you prefer walking, then the hotel is only 15 minutes away by foot from the Ringstraße Boulevard.

I would recommend this beautiful hotel because it is a stylish and modern haven with a warm and hospitable ambience. I would urge you to book an executive or special suite because not only can you indulge in the Eugenio Restaurant throughout the day, but your entire mini bar in the room is free and topped up daily! However, if the cost of such rooms is too high, fear not as every room gets some bedtime candy delivered to it to keep all guests feeling sweet! So what are you waiting for? It’s time for you to enjoy luxury in style and with some bedtime candy. Plus, you may even get the chance to see Jude Law in person, and not only on your hotel room TV screen, as he has previously stayed at this fantastic establishment!
