3. Maryland Renaissance Festival, Annapolis
Maryland Renaissance Festival is held each year in an English village in Annapolis, Maryland. The event features actors dressed in authentic costumes, a choice of 140 specialty and craft shops, plenty of games and attractions, and 42 stalls selling food and drinks. There is also a 3,000-seat jousting arena and 11 stages featuring ongoing entertainment during the day. The Royal Court of King Henry VII is also present here.

The Charm City Comedy Project began in February 2014 in an effort to start a comedy venue in Baltimore. Each year, the event is held in the first two weeks of May and brings some of the best standup comics, sketch groups, and improv troupes in the country to the stage. The comedy event is held in a room upstairs at Zissimos Bar in Hampden, Baltimore.

5. Maryland Chicken Wing Festival

8. Maryland Deathfest
Maryland Deathfest is held each year and brings some of the best and most extreme bands in the underground music scene to the stage to play new and old music. 9. Maryland Wine Festival, Westminster
Held each year during September, Maryland Wine Festival features a large selection of local Maryland wines for tasting. Besides selling these wines, a selection of handmade arts and crafts by local artists is also on offer. Local and regional bands and musicians entertain with live music, including folk, jazz, and covers of popular songs from the 1980s. 11. Artscape, Baltimore
Artscape has been an annual event in Baltimore since 1982. Held each July, the event highlights visual, literary, and culinary arts. An artist’s market features stalls by more than 100 craftsmen and artisans selling their wares. Three outdoor stages are used for live concerts, including jazz, theater, opera, and dance. Visual arts can be seen in various installations around the area.
