Sacramento Gold Rush Days is a festival that is celebrated during Labour Weekend in Sacramento. The celebrations take place for four days and takes you back in the Californian era of the 1850s. Costumed performers portray historical figures, play old school music, and showcase various talents. You can also take the wagon rides, enjoy country dancing, have beers in old salon-style bars, play games like Jenga and Cornhole, and enjoy movie night at the 1849 Scene. Last but not the least, don’t forget to attend a grand finale statehood celebratory procession that includes historical figures, bands, street performers, horses, wagons, and even donkeys.
