Little Island is an attraction that you must add to your Big Apple bucket list, especially if you’re here with your beloved. This beautiful public park opened its doors in May 2021. And if, like me, you prefer nothing more than exploring a city on foot, you’ll love this fresh take on an outdoor immersive experience. Visit in summer, and you can even catch a free outdoor concert or cabaret. Being the design nerds that we are, we grabbed a drink (yes, there are fantastic craft beers in its cute outdoor bar) and explored every architectural detail. My top travel tip? Grab dinner at City Winery New York City, only a short walk away from the island, for the best sunset views.
Here’s an interesting fact: It’s here, at Pier 54, where the survivors of the Titanic arrived in New York in 1912.
