The predominantly French-speaking province of Quebec is a prime destination for anglers. The province has varying topography and 12 percent of its surface is occupied by freshwater lakes and rivers. Most of the area is cold and humid but with the right gear, you will find Quebec’s fishing grounds quite impressive. Centre des Données sur le Patrimoine Naturel du Québec (CPDNQ) or Data Centre on Natural Heritage of Quebec, in cooperation with The Wildlife Foundation of Quebec, are working hand-in-hand to preserve and protect habitats and ecosystems for future generations. You can skip the usual bed and breakfasts and historic hotels. Now is the best time to book a fishing weekend in one of the top fishing lodges in Quebec, Canada.
We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) host status, recent guest reviews, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and a location with easy access to fishing spots. The image galleries get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on October 23, 2024.

6. Spacious lodging amid forest and lake
Blue Sky Lodge in Vals-des-Monts is a popular walleye fishing lodge in Quebec. It has free parking, a full wraparound deck, an outdoor fire pit, and direct access to Lac St. Pierre. The lake is an expanded portion of the St. Lawrence River and is a popular fishing spot for most of the year. In no time, you’ll hook smallmouth bass and northern pike. It is also a great place to catch and release walleye.
The cottage can accommodate as many as six guests in three bedrooms. You may add more to your party if everyone is willing to share the available space. Aside from essential amenities for a comfortable weekend trip, this lodge has a landing dock as well. If you’re driving from Ottawa, it should take you about 40 minutes to reach the lodge. Watch out for the cities of Sorel-Tracy and Trois-Rivières. They should serve as your landmarks. When fishing at Lac St. Pierre look for small ponds where trout may be lurking. If the rest of the family has other things in mind, then Superhost Eric recommends a forest walk at the back of the property.

7. Private hideaway for 24 people
There is a camp in the middle of Lac Perdu that you can rent for a reasonable deal. Karen is the manager and she says the private hideaway gives you access to many islands on the lake. The fishing is always good over there. You have exclusive rights to the waters surrounding the expansive camp. If you can afford to spend the summer in Quebec, then consider renting the entire camp, with its fleet of boats and various equipment. At this point, are you wondering about ways to reach the property? Driving is an option. You may also avail of float airplane services courtesy of Air Saguenay. To prepare for serious fishing in Lac Perdu, start checking your equipment, and psyche yourself to battle it out with brookies and trout. By the way, the property is for sale. You can ask Karen for more information if you are looking for property in the area.
