Kraków is the second largest city in Poland and one of the oldest in the country, along with being one of the oldest in Europe. The iconic old city is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is also one of the most visited places in Europe by tourists and only spending a few hours here will tell you why. The city is absolutely full of history on every corner, from the castles and cathedrals to the Renaissance courtyards and the cloth hall. Kraków was established in the 7th century and has seen just about every important event in European history and unfortunately having to rebuild and reinvent itself. Among all that reinvention is Kraków’s food culture. So, if you’re in the city and looking to sample its street food, here’s a list of the best street food markets in Kraków, Poland, that you should check out.

Dajwór 21 Food Truck Park is a relatively new space in the area. People who own food trucks come here and sell what they got. Food trucks serving simple, delicious meals are found all over the world and now Krakow is coming up on the trend as well. Having shown up in 2017, the Dajwór 21 Food Truck Park replaced a bar that was located here. Keeping some of the former bar’s infrastructure like the outdoor seating as well as the outdoor heaters, Dajwór 21 Food Truck Park is a great place to hang out even during the colder months. The food trucks serve a range of cuisines, from classic Polish dishes to international favorites like Tex-Mex and even Brazilian barbecue.

Hala Targowa Unitarg is known by the locals as “Hala Targowa” and is the central market in the city. The market is full of everything and by everything, we mean that there is everything you can want to find, from freshly picked fruits and vegetables to antiques to religious icons and everything else in between. On Sunday afternoons, the market comes alive with hawkers selling their wares and even some live entertainment to watch. In the evenings, the market is where the food is and there are tons of great options for street food. There’s a famous sausage stand here selling sandwiches. It doesn’t have a name but the truck is blue. If you’re having trouble finding it, ask a local and they can point you in the right direction. It’s the perfect snack after having a few beers.

I believe that Kraków is one of the best places to visit and to live. Maybe it's because of Wawel Chakra, which is considered to be one of the place of enourmous power?! Or maybe thanks to its unique mixture of the Old Town, Jewish history and the communist legacy?! Or perhaps the famous polish pierogies and kielbasa?! I believe that everyone will find something for himself. During 8 years of experience as the guide I took care of more than 3000 people from more than 80 countries. It helped me to understand needs of my clients and to develop interpersonal skills. I base my tour on humor, associations and connections in order to make it fun and unforgettable. Named after the large mural that overlooks the square in the park, Judah Square Food Truck Park is a smaller food truck park, but it is quickly making a name for itself among the foodies of Krakow. There is not a lot of seating around here, so most people usually come and go pretty quickly. Check out Andrus Food Truck serving maczanka, a traditional Krakovian pulled pork sandwich.
