2. Mission Community Market

This establishment is an open market place, founded in 2010 with the aim of creating opportunities for fresh and healthy farmers to produce and encourage after-school programs to initiate fun and to improve the general health of the community. Enjoy the live music and other recreational entertainment as you explore the unique setting, and fresh farm produces the market has to offer. The market is managed by CUESA (Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture) and is open every Thursday from 4 pm to 8 pm and from February to December of every year.

3. Alemany Farmer’s Market


Also known as the people’s market, the Alemany Farmer’s Market is the oldest farmers market in California. It was opened in 1943 with the goal to assist farmers to sell their excess farm produce during the war. It was formally located at the corner of Duboce but later moved to its current location in 1947. Join some locals every Saturday from dawn to dusk to explore and purchase some affordable Southeast Asian vegetables including young ginger, taro, sweet potato leaves, and other highly sorted out herbs, oils, kitchen ingredients and many more.
