If you're not an experienced hiker, I recommend going with an organized group or a guide, which I think is essential in Patagonia’s wilderness. It reduces the risk of wildlife encounters, such as with pumas, as they are less likely to approach a group. I didn’t encounter any wildlife, but I always recommend sticking with a group to stay safe. You'll also be more comfortable and will be able to enjoy the experience without worrying about logistics, since guides can offer local insights and keep you well informed.

Be prepared with the right gear. Waterproof clothing is essential, but even the best gear might not fully protect you from Patagonia's heavy rains. Bring backup layers, and if it’s cold, sleep with your phone or electronics to prevent the battery from dying. The cold drained my phone’s battery quickly.

We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) host status, recent guest reviews, prices, availability of dates, decor, and a location that facilitates glamping or is close to glamping spots.
