New Yooorrrk, concrete jungle where dreams are made of… and whose citizens never seem to sleep! A little ironic, I know - because if you don’t sleep, how can you dream?! Well, the city itself awes and inspires, and a trip to the glittering city is often a dream come true for many. New York’s nightlife is rightfully famous and best enjoyed with great friends. Therefore, if you are looking for a place to stay in New York, gather your squad and check out these 6 spacious HomeAway vacation rentals that will not only comfortably fit everyone, but are also absolutely stunning:

1. Spacious: Gorgeous 2 Story 2 Bedroom Apartment in Manhattan (from USD 375)

Located in the prestigious Mount Morris Park district in Manhattan, this 2-story apartment will comfortably fit 8 - 9 guests. A few minutes’ walk leads to a subway (number 2 line) and many great restaurants; you also have easy access to Central Park. When you travel with friends, you are going to need a common area big enough to fit everyone. You definitely have it in this bright and warm living area with a coffee table the perfect size for a game of King’s Cup, or Monopoly if you are in the mood for something tamer. The bar counter is also a lovely area to chill over some drinks. The fully-supplied kitchen will tempt the chef within, as you fry, grill, and bake your way to win the title of Masterchef of the house. You’re sure to love how the warm browns of the space complement the red feature brick wall, evoking a rustic yet modern vibe. Feel your tension melt away in the Jacuzzi tub, located in the bathroom on the upper floor. The wall tiles are reminiscent of fluffy white clouds in a light blue sky, and you can pretend to be floating on a cloud of bubbles while you soak in the tub. If you feel as if you’ve hit a brick wall in life, take a chill pill and go to bed. Tomorrow will be a better day, there’s nothing you can’t do … you’re in New York after all! The other bedroom is super spacious as well, with lots of space to put your suitcases AND fit everyone in for a late-night heart-to-heart. The living room and lower bedroom opens up to a large private garden and patio at the rear of the apartment, a rare find. An outdoor grill is also available, great for a wild summer barbeque party! When night falls, enjoy a beer or two in the cool night air under the stars.

Right on Columbus Circle Avenue, which was named after the famous explorer Christopher Columbus, you are right in the middle of the action and perfectly situated to explore New York City. The bustling Times Square is 11 minutes away on foot, the Time Warner Center is 8 minutes away, Central Park is 5 minutes from the property, and there are many other attractions easily accessible from the apartment too. The living room decor is modern and chic, with the white walls accentuated with brightly coloured paintings. Colour divides the living area and dining area. The clear glass table, metallic light stand, and minimalistic silver clock on the wall naturally carve out a space within the same room. The sofa can be turned into a comfortable bed for 2, so you can snuggle up comfortably while watching a movie. Plain white walls are given a chic style boost in the bedroom too, with monochrome paintings hanging on the walls. The bedroom looks clean and inviting, a result of thoughtful design touches.

With views of the East River and located a few blocks away from Macy’s and Herald Square, treat yourself to stunning sunsets every evening from this modern apartment. Polished dark wood floors, a rust-coloured brick fireplace, and a distant hazy outline of buildings beyond the full windows will greet you as you step inside the flat. This lovely light-filled house is located within a beautiful Brooklyn brownstone building in Park Slope, an idyllic neighbourhood with many green spaces such as the scenic Prospect Park. Based in the heart of Brooklyn, you get to enjoy a more tranquil pace of life and explore a different area of New York.

Note that you have the option of booking the whole house or just individual rooms. This house is large for New York’s standards, but you don’t get the feeling that it is cold and empty. Instead, a gentle warmth seems to permeate the house, perhaps due to the mid-century furniture, original wooden floors, and bright sunlight pouring in. This picture of a wooden grand piano standing stately in the middle of the room is sure to fill you with joy. It is an exquisite-looking piano that everyone will likely be yearning to get their fingers on, even if they don’t play. Do try and have a piano player within your group though, just so you can fill the room with the tinkling sounds of the piano. Past the airy living room and up a flight of wooden stairs, you’ll find the upper bedrooms. There are three bedrooms. One is on the ground floor with its own bathroom, and two are on the upper floor along with a shared bathroom. This room looks cosy and quaint with a large armchair and wooden chests hiding unknown treasures. The three windows look out onto the tree-lined avenue of Park Slope. The back of the apartment opens up to a sunny outdoor terrace decked with sun chairs and a grill. There’s nothing like a barbeque party to complete your New York City experience.

You’ll find that nature is a recurring theme in this delightful 3-story house in Brooklyn. Fully renovated in 2010, the house was built with loving attention to retaining the traditional style and incorporating eco-friendly features throughout. The harmony between humans and nature is evident when you enter the house. It’s a rare garden oasis of calm in a charming neighbourhood. As you enter the house, you will walk past a small pond with native fish and even turtles! Keep your eyes peeled for them. The spacious open kitchen given a vibrant boost with sunny yellow walls, a red bookshelf, and a cherubic baby. Regrettably, the adorable baby isn’t included in your booking! This room is like an indoor garden with bright yellow sunshine, warm brown soil, and thriving green plants. By the bay window, the couch is a lovely corner to curl up with a good book in hand. There are 5 bedrooms for your whole crew to choose from, each with its own lively character. Even the bathroom is delightful, evoking the serene ambience of a garden resort. You’ve probably stayed at places with direct pool access, but have you ever stayed at an apartment with its own NATURAL swimming pool? This little oasis is chemical free and almost looks like a magical fairy pond tucked away in an enchanted forest. At the top, you’ll find yet another gorgeous green world: a roof deck shaded by a pergola, surrounded by lush vegetation, looking out over the city.

6. Grand: Presidential Suite In Midtown - Close To United Nations And 5th Ave (2,047 USD, Sleeps 5)

Welcome, Mr President! This listing is ALL about the breathtaking and unobstructed views of Manhattan’s skyline. The price may be steep but you’re getting every dollar’s worth here. High up above the city on the 77th floor, this is luxury living at its peak. If there were high-rise apartments in heaven, I’m pretty sure they look similar to this. Natural light floods in through the 12-foot (3.65-metre) floor-to-ceiling windows that take the place of walls, giving you unparalleled views of Central Park, the George Washington Bridge, and stretching all the way to Long Island. Can this be real? Who needs a TV when you have all the action of Manhattan from dawn to dusk playing non-stop on the transparent glass screens? Whether for a cosy gathering with you and your close friends, or an all-out cocktail party with the city’s wildest party animals, the capacious common space will accommodate it all. This is the true #SquadGoals. Strike a pose, the kitchen is your new runway. Watch the fire, the food is getting burnt! Try not to get distracted by the view to your left when you’re whipping up a storm in the kitchen. The bathroom is sparkling, a flawless work of art. You might be tempted to spend all day relaxing in the bathtub! The city never sleeps, but you have to sleep some time, right? Resting on a fluffy bed of clouds, I mean, soft sheets, in one of the three elegant bedrooms, enter dreamland to the reassuring flicker of the city lights and wake up to planes taking off in the distance at morning’s light.
