What was a loving gift to two daughters from a father, is today, most probably one of the creepiest places in Bangalore. Also called ‘Vas Villa’, it was built by Ej Vaz, an Anglo-Indian lawyer. This abandoned colonial house was resided by Vera and Dolce Vaz, till 2002, when the 75-year old younger sister, Dolce was stabbed to death by an intruder. Her body was buried in the house and for safety issues, Vera was asked to shift somewhere else. Soon after people started reporting about seeing inverted crosses, a figure near the window, and scary headless statues of Jesus and Mary. There have been instances where witnesses have heard spine-chilling screams and sounds of the piano. The house was demolished in 2014, but the remains are still there, and spooky occurrences continue to happen.

Highways and hauntings have a very odd connection and National Highway 4 is no exception. One of the longest state highways, that boasts of lush green surroundings, is quite a breeding ground for supernatural occurrences post-midnight. Passer-byes have reported about spotting a beautiful woman who asks for lift and then disappears. What makes it more horrifying is that she appears suddenly in front of their car, laughing hysterically. Once it so happened that a man got so scared that he got out of his car and ran frantically. Unfortunately, he collided against the compound wall nearby and got badly injured. Although there is no such history related to this, this continues to happen even today.
