Stay in the heart of Taipei for superb connectivity
Taipei Main Station is the main transport hub in Taipei where you can catch the bus, high-speed rail, MRT or train to anywhere within the city or other parts of Taiwan easily. Since 2 March 2017, getting to the airport from this station has become a breeze with the opening of the Airport MRT line, as it takes only 36 minutes to reach the airport by the express MRT.
Hotel Relax 3 is a stone’s throw from Taipei Main Station exit Z2, Z4 and the Airport MRT exit, which makes connectivity to other parts of the city and country convenient. Furthermore, being located in the central area means you are surrounded by many shops, restaurants, entertainment and almost everything you need. The “Harajuku of Taipei” - Ximending, a youthful shopping haven is just 10 minutes by foot from the hotel. History buffs can also hop over to the Taiwan National Museum only 4 minutes’ walk away. As with all Hotel Relax branches, Hotel Relax 3 is easily recognizable from a distance by its classic black building embossed with a striking letter “R” at the entrance. Feel welcomed with friendly greetings from staff throughout the hotel as you make your way to the room. Be in for a pleasant surprise upon entering your room as a big bowl of snacks would be placed on the round table. Treat yourself to these snacks while you relax on the comfortable couch. Specially prepared by the hotel management, these snacks were the favourite tidbits of every school-going kid in Taipei in the good old days. Tuck into the yummy snacks that would bring you on a trip down memory lane!
Stylish and cosy guest rooms to retreat to after a long day out
Besides the heartwarming welcome treat, relax and unwind in the contemporary room after a long day out exploring the dynamic city. Unlike other hotels where you would have to turn on the air-conditioner and wait for it to cool the room after inserting the key into the power slot, at Hotel Relax, you can simply relax and enjoy the air-con immediately. Why? Because name cards are already inserted into the power slots of rooms to be occupied by guests before their arrival. This thoughtful gesture is certainly much welcomed by guests, especially during the warm summer months!
Rooms may be compact but you would not feel cramped because of the innovative use of space and white lighting. While the overall theme of the hotel is classic with minimalist decor, look out for delicate touches such as the uniquely designed window grilles and a comical icon representing the toilet. There is also a full-length mirror right next to the door, so you can do a quick check of your appearance before you leave your room for the day. Furthermore, with room floors accessible only by the room card, rest assured you would enjoy privacy throughout your stay as well.
Delectable semi-buffet breakfast to perk you up
Although there is no restaurant in Hotel Relax 3, guests can still look forward to a delicious semi-buffet breakfast at the restaurant just diagonally across at Hotel Relax 2. Upon check-in, the friendly staff at the reception would ask you to confirm your preferred breakfast slot. Not only is this an effective crowd control measure, it also means you would not need to queue too long for a table at the restaurant.
Help yourself to the buffet spread consisting of salad, sweet potato, corn, porridge, soups, fruits, hot and cold beverages as you wait for your freshly prepared western breakfast set of the day to be served at the table. Breakfast certainly tastes great in a warm and cosy setting fitted with plush furniture that matches the overall chic theme of the hotel. After such a hearty breakfast, I am sure you would be fully energised to start a brand new day exploring Taipei.
